Majority of kids and adults do not consume the recommended amount of 5 – 7 fruits and veggies each day. I am a full time working executive with an active family of four boys. I have been there and used all of the excuses above when it comes to the health of my family. I did not realize how important nutrition was until my kids started to have health issues of their own. It was at that point, I decided to take One Powerful Step in the right direction to make my family’s health a priority. The key to success is first becoming aware and then taking one step at a time to transform your family into good regular healthy habits.
Each and every one of us is unique and there is no one size fits all solution when it comes to our health. Finding balance is the key to true health. We need to change our internal environment to meet the demands of the every changing external environment. True health is a balancing act however we first need to understand the root cause behind any imbalance.
There are three basic components that make up our health :
- Biochemistry- what we, eat, drink and breathe “chemical imbalance”
- Structure – the skeletal system “Structural imbalance
- Mental/Psychological/Emotions – “Energy imbalance”
Traditional medicine uses drugs and prescriptions to treat the symptoms, but Holistic or alternative medicine uses the principal that our bodies were made to heal ourselves. In providing solution for our kids and ourselves we need to learn and treat the root cause of the issue and not the symptom itself to enjoy true health.
